Last Friday my eyes were itchy, my nasal passages were swollen and sore and in general I felt like crap! I had the “Suds” as Sponge Bob Square Pants calls it. Everybody in the house knew I was not feeling up to par.
I managed to take a shower and that was about all I did all day.
I did have to go pick up my youngest daughter at school. I managed to get out of my comfy sweatpants and baggy shirt and put on some “I have to see people” clothes. I even got out of the car and walked up to the front door of the school. I even managed to muster up enough energy to talk to a few people.
Apparently this was just not good enough for my youngest daughter. We got into the car and she says: “I can’t believe you did that to me!” Just for grins I asked her just what did I do to her? She says: ” I can’t believe you didn’t put in your contacts! You wore your glasses, don’t you know how embarrassing that is?”
So much for “Are you feeling any better?”

I will admit it is pretty ugly when I wear my glasses!
I hope you feel better. I thought I was over the Suds but they came back last night. At least I put in my contacts this morning! 🙂

/ September 3, 2008I wouldn’t have put my contacts in either! I’ve been feeling iffy for over a week now.. Headaches non stop and not functioning up to par.. the kids havent said much about it other than when’s dinner i’m hungry..
Isn’t it great to be a mother?! I think we have to be on our death bed for anyone to notice when we are sick!
