Question Of The Week

Question of the week: What do you like to do on rainy days?

If it is not lightening I love to walk in the rain. I am the strange mom on the block who lets her kids get in their swimsuits and go outside to play in the rain. If it is lightening I love to play board games.

  1. When we were kids we always played in the rain and would mess around in mud puddles in grandma’s driveway. Such great memories.

I love to close the blinds, turn on my watering can lights and lay back, cover with comforter, get HUGE bowl of popcorn and read. If I happen to catch some ZZZ’s, it’s just icing on the cake.

  2. I’m with Joy. That’s just about what I would have written. If it was winter I would pray the rain turns into snow and I would start a fire in the fireplace. In summer I would sit on the porch.

  3. I”m that mom too! LOL But come on.. The weather here is like that. During the summer it rains every single day and unless its a thunderstorm with lightening there is no reason to get bothered by it.. So they get wet.. big deal!

If its lightening and storming. I prefer to sleep! Ahh to sleep! The kids prefer to whine about the storm or watch tv..

  4. I also love the rain. The fireplace going, with the smell of coffee in the air…yes! Rain does not bother me, I love it! *(*

  5. Hunker in and watch a good movie or take a nice long nap!

  6. yep sleep is good on a rainy day or stormy night. But what usually happens is I am stuck running my regular errands in it and walking around with sticky hair cuz of the hairspray 😦

my ideal spot would be my comfy blankets, pillow, good movie, and a good cup of coffee.

  7. Actually I think your the cool Mom to me their is something really wonderful about playing in the rain. Or taking walks in the rain, for a lot of my life I had to much sense to do this, luckily Ive changed my ways!

  8. Warm fire, cup of coffee & a DVD to watch.

  9. Curl up under a quilt with a book. 🙂 I encourage my kids to go and play in the rain if it isn’t storming. Sometimes I’ll sit on our covered porch and watch the rain too.
