The Winds of Change….

I know I promised I would do better this time around with blogging. I tried, honest I did! But you see life keeps getting in my way!

I have been busy with Girl Scouts, we had an awesome trip in Novemeber. We got to spend the night on board the Tall Ship Elissa in Galveston Harbor. We all took turns standing watch overnight and we slept in sleeping bags on the top deck, underneath the stars. AWESOME!

Due to some changes I will tell you about in a minute, I spent Thanksgiving with just my youngest daughter. We cooked our turkey had all the sides we liked and ate like pigs. Afterwards we went and played a mean game of Laser Tag, where my youngest daughter royally kicked my butt!

Christmas has come and gone. We had a very simple Christmas and it was very nice.

My oldest daughter, who moved in with her boyfriend a while back, moved back home for about a week after Thanksgiving. They needed a break and I guess once she saw that my house rules were still the same, she moved back in with her boyfriend. Did you notice I said boyfriend instead of fiance, the date has been erased from my calendar. The engagement is off for now but they are still together. I have a hard time keeping up with her relationship status to be honest.

Now as for me, My husband announced back in Novemeber that he wants a divorce. Papers were filed in early December. There is a 60 day waiting period before a final decree can be entered. As of right now we are still living under the same roof. I made the decision not to leave until it was all final. Remember that saying, “Keep your enemies closer,” that is my plan. I will get custody of my youngest daughter. Once the divorce is final I will be moving into an apartment or hopefully a townhouse if it is still available.

So bear with me while I go through my changes and hopefully I will get better at blogging.

Happy New Year to all!
