Video And Question Of The Week

Poor Pedro

From the movie Giant

(The audio is poor so you may need to turn up your speakers)

Question of the week: How many people will you be sharing Thanksgiving with? Will they be at your house or are you going to have Thanksgiving at someone elses house?

  1. This is one of my favorite movies and this is my favorite scene! I crack up every time I see it!
We are going to my mother-in-laws house again this year for Thanksgiving. She vowed last year that she would not have it at her house ever again but we all knew she was lying! There will be 13 of us there this year.

I think I may be sharing Thanksgiving with Cute Daughter, Son In Law, his family, and new grandson! I won’t have to cook as I will be staying in their home! Ha! Fantastic!

  4. we will be at my sisters house with anywhere up to 20 something including small fries. Small house ..and that many louds..can be too much at times but we manage and we have fun so that’s all that matters.

  5. This is also one of my favorite movies. I tried hard to listen but my laptop wouldn’t go any louder. Now I want to watch the movie again. I have it so maybe I’ll do that this afternoon. Everyone will be coming here for Thanksgiving. I personally hate this holiday but it means a lot to my mom so I’ll continue to do it until she’s no longer with us. It’s our crew, Paul’s son and my mom. There will be 11 of us. We will eat to much, watch football and I have a “few” things I need the three strong men to move around for me.

  6. I’m having Thanksgiving with the SIL’s Japanese side of the family. Lobster for dinner, no turkey, traditional sides and as you know we are bringing dessert.

After that I can’t avoid the fact that Christmas is just around the corner. Not that I don’tlike Christmas because I love the holidays. I just can’t believe how fast time flys.

  7. Giant is one of my favorite movies too. This scene really makes you appreciate the the Pizza Hut delivery guy! It will just be the five of us for Thanksgiving this year. I’m not sure if we’re having the traditonal dinner or something with a twist.

  9. I’ve never seen this movie…. This is the first year we are spending Thanksgiving at my house. I’m cooking just for my hubs and kids. Zach is realllllllly nervous because he loves the mashed potatoes where we usually go- and well, ya know- the poor boys head is just filled with the worry that I will screw them up! Jeez, it’s MASHED POTATOES, not rocket science! Have a great Thanksgiving, you and your entire family 🙂 xoxoxo

    • I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving as well! If you have lumps in your mashed potatoes just tell Zach they are “just little lumps of love!” 🙂
